Recently winners of The Battle Of Folk Bands competition at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, Deira is a trio made up of musicians from Asturias and Andalusia. His style, which has a great influence from Scottish folk music, is presented as a renewal of traditional music in terms of arrangements and atmospheres.
Its members, who already had extensive experience in other projects, began playing together in 2019 when they were hired as a resident group in the Asturian tent of the Lorient Interceltic Festival (French Brittany).
From there they shaped a debut album that led them to win important awards in band competitions.
They are currently preparing a tour that will take them to participate in some of the most important festivals in Scotland, Galicia and Asturias.
